IGME records 20 wells and boreholes in Hondón de los Frailes. Half of the 17 with a depth found water at 130–250 m.

Ground: 77% porous aquifer, medium productivity; 13% karstic or fissured aquifer, high productivity; 11% low permeability, local groundwater only.
