Can you build a house on rustic land?

Catalonia allows no new houses on rustic land. Restoring an existing or listed building is the way.

IGME records 13 wells and boreholes in el Montmell. Half of the 12 with a depth found water at 45–204 m. 5 springs are recorded.

Ground: 38% karstic or fissured aquifer, high productivity; 25% low permeability, local groundwater only; 24% practically impermeable; 8% porous aquifer, medium productivity; 5.1% karstic or fissured aquifer, medium productivity.

• No mapped flood zone (only studied rivers are mapped).
• 67% of the municipality is Natura 2000: new works need the region's consent.
