Can you build a house on rustic land?

The Valencian Community requires at least 1 ha for a new house on rustic land.

The national urban information system (SIU) maps the land class for 100% of the municipality.

Only the town hall can confirm it, in writing: ask for a certificado urbanístico.

IGME records 39 wells and boreholes in Xeraco. Half of the 38 with a depth found water at 24–66 m. 6 springs are recorded.

Ground: 33% porous aquifer, high productivity; 20% porous aquifer, medium productivity; 20% surface water body; 17% karstic or fissured aquifer, medium productivity; 10% low permeability, local groundwater only.

• 0.6% of the municipality is preferential flow zone, where new building is generally banned.
